There are a lot of rumors floating around, so let’s start with what we know for sure. Amazon recently published a new job posting that is seeking a digital currency and blockchain expert. The description expands to include a desire to find an “experienced product leader to develop Amazon’s Digital Currency and Blockchain strategy and product roadmap.” The job posting goes on to state “you will leverage your domain expertise in Blockchain, Distributed Ledger, Central Bank Digital Currencies and Cryptocurrency to develop the case for the capabilities which should be developed, drive overall vision and product strategy, and gain leadership buy-in and investment for new capabilities.” CNBC asked an Amazon spokesperson for comment and received this in a statement:
