There's a saying I like. I don't know who said it first, but I first heard it from the actor Denzel Washington. He said "if you hang around the barbershop, soon you're gonna get a haircut." I think that statement is powerful for the fact that it contains a message that can be interpreted in both a positive and a negative way. Positively, if you're found around places with an abundance of opportunities for growth, one day you will land yourself a life changing opportunity. Likewise, if you're found around people who are always brewing trouble, very soon you'll find yourself in trouble.
