@Read.Cash

If you're wondering what happened. Well, read.cash was in a really bad shape. Filled with spam and bots. But I promised far too many people that read.cash won't be deleted so I did a makeover. New look, new features, invite-only (slow growth if any) and we'll see where it goes. Probably nowhere. But we'll see.

@Read.Cash

There are no invites to give out now. I think we'll wait a bit until deciding what to do about it. Here's the problem. Invites flood the platform with new people. Many of them act badly. I decided that we should try to grow slower. So at some point in the future we'll give out some number of invites to give out. But for now we're a tight circle :)

@Read.Cash

Huh? This is way more active than I anticipated. 29 people online today with zero announcements.

@Read.Cash

I think the elephant in the room to talk about is "is there money on read.cash" and the answer is likely NO for now. I mean you could get tipped BCH by someone, that would be nice. But there will be no Rusty or anything similar to that. If you feel like hanging out on read.cash is fun - that's great. If a lot of people hand out on read.cash - we MIGHT be able to make money and give some author rewards. But this future might never come, you know. So, if it's fun, stick…

To clarify a bit more on things. There are direct messages. But they are protected by KT(Karma Tokens) and Trust. In any profile you can set how much you trust that person. If I trust A and A trusts B, then I somewhat trust B indirectly. You can set how much it costs (in KT) to contact you for people you directly trust, indirectly trust and random strangers. That prevents random people spamming your inbox.

@Read.Cash

Groups. Unlike old read.cash groups, new groups are moderated. You cannot post to "Bitcoin Cash" group something like "give me bitcoin cash" or "nice morning". You have to stay on topic and within group rules. That's makes it nicer for everyone. At least that's how it should be. We'll see how it works in reality.

@Read.Cash

Just in case you haven't noticed - Bitcoin Cash wallet is still available and BCH tipping is still there, but it's changed in two ways. 1. We use escrow contract now, meaning that Bitcoin Cash tip leaves your wallet into a "temporary" address that can only resolve in two ways - the person you tip claims it or it returns to your wallet 7 days later. This solves the problem of people who left the platform and cannot claim their tips. You get that money back 2. The wallet is…

Also, some updates in your "avatar" menu. Dark mode, My stats (who reads you, etc), My likes (what you liked). Daily questions (saw one? what do you think?). Reactions πŸ”₯. Also a few things left for you to discover.

@Read.Cash

Quick poll. Do we need an Android or iPhone app? (Yes, no, which one, don't care?)

@Read.Cash

This is really weird. I see no spam in sight, not a spam report. People are actually talking. It's weird seeing read.cash in this non-spammy state πŸ˜‚

@Read.Cash

BTW if you haven't noticed - you can give your *own* post +KT tip. That makes this post appear higher in other people's "Explore"/"Following", but at the same time you will have less KT to post today. KT is a pretty deep thing πŸ˜‰

@Read.Cash

When I was 7 I though it would be a good idea to cut off a part of my hair to make a paintbrush. That was fun.

If you want to explore read.cash as it was - you're welcome to Explore -> Random

@Read.Cash

I think it would be creating social networks. I just can't stop doing this. read.cash, noise.cash, noise.app, read.cash again :)

@Read.Cash

I think I really like the new "yellow" new comments thing from notifications. Did you notice?

@Read.Cash

Coffee with milk, just about every few hours. Programmers are machines for turning coffee info code.

@Read.Cash

You can now add a location to you post. You can also post to a shared map. Should be fun, we'll see.
