Live within your means!

I know of a man who always believe that he can impress people around him and because of that he goes for the things above his means thereby putting himself in great financial debt and danger.

You know about this wise saying great minds always say " Cutting one's cloth according their sizes", this has been the greatest mistake a lot of people have failed to look at and find a way to make corrections when it comes to spending money and going for the things they like to have as property in life. One of the greatest joy and satisfaction someone may have in life is the ability to have what it takes to afford whatever thing that he or she desires without looking back or hoping on anybody or anything for assistance. Also On the other hand, one of the greatest mistakes one may have to live with in regret after is trying to go for the things he knows his source of income is not enough to get or acquire the things he desires and he adamantly goes ahead to get them at his own detriment or expense.

The quest to live large in the society, impressing  families members, friends and colleagues at office, friends on social media or even at the different associations where one belong to, etc have also made a lot of people to regret and live in penury for the rest of their lives, most of them have gone to extra length to seek for loans from friends, families and even from financial institutions around them all in a bit to measure up with other men and women who they do not know how they make their money they spend without control.

It does not stop at that, you may see some people who may have friends and folks they hang out with, because one of the friends is throwing a big party and wants you to attend, instead of you to manage yourself with what you have, instead you go off the ladder to show-off to people that will be attending the party that you are richer or more classy than them all and because of that you put yourself in a financial debt with the vendors you bought the  clothes and other items from for the said party. These things happen every day and this kind of life style have placed a lot of people on the regretting side.

Don't you think the best way of living a life is to live within your means? spending according to how you earn and spending wisely is the ultimate way of living a healthy and responsible  life. You must not show off and try to live your life on the standard of human impression. Before you start to make some choices that will affect you later in life when it comes to living above your means, you must first consider these five questions below;

1. Of what gain will I achieve when I spend more than I earn?

2. Do I really have the utmost satisfaction of heart if I end up going for the things I know my hands can't reach?

3. Do they have any reward for me for spending or living more than my means?

4. If I go bankrupt today because of the way I live and make expenses, will I ever get help from these same people that I have shown that I have it all with the way I live?

5. After everything will I still live happily ever  after?

I know if you can have a moment to ponder on these soul searching questions before you start living above your means, it will surely help you to have a second thought and control the way you live and spend your money. Most rich and wealthy personalities around the world today never lived their lives above their means. I believe that proper planning, discipline, self-control and financial management skill are  the best approach to making a good successful living.

Leaning to live within your means can actually give you an edge over your colleagues and friends who spend without control, it can also bring you reasonable personalities who can entrust their investments in your care without blinking their eyes or looking back because of how you manage your life and your spending life style and also can bring good name to you amongst your friends and folks who come in contact with you everyday of your life.
