Remembering your past is one thing with human and some people will always say that one's past experiences of life is a lesson that will always guide one's present and future existence, in otherwords people always say they learn from their past experience. Now my questions are; Does it mean we should now live and dwell in the past? Should we not give ourselves another opportunity to have a new experience of life and create a new begining?
Often time we choose the path of the past to always lead our present and even our future lives, but is it really a good step in the right direction to have and share a beautiful life experiences? Living in your past has surely made a lot of people to lose that desired joy and utmost satisfaction, fulfilment of purpose, wonderful experience and new expectations they should have got in life, they cut their joy off all because they don't want to drop their past experiences and embrace that new opportunities to experience new begining. Most of these past experience could come in negative or positive experience which one must have encountered either from their loved ones, friends or from people they meet on their daily life activities. Some could even be from the personal or self inflicted experiences they caused on themselves and because of that, they find it very difficult to relate with the present day reality that they face each day of their lives.
The most difficult and challenging one is that past experiences that didn't go well, which one may have encountered either from loved ones, families or friends, it could be heartbreaks, disappointments, failed relationships or business dealings, etc and instead of the affected person to try moving on with his or life, rather the person begins to hold unto the past, depriving self of that opportunities of having a new experience another person, some even go the extent of denying themselves that personal joy and happiness all because they are afraid to give another chance in order not to be heartbroken by another person that may want to come into their life.
Most single men and ladies you see today that have come of age, reached that age of taking responsibility of getting married and starting up a family today but have refused to accept to give chance to love and relationship, their reasons maybe because of this particular problem I am discussing right now. Most young ladies have refused to fall In-love or give their hearts to men for a chance to feel love and be loved, all because they allowed themselves to keep living in the past.
Living your life in the past is not a healthy living at all, it prevents you that great opportunity of finding that true feeling of love and life you have hoped for, nothing will ever make you see that goodness in that person that comes your way all because you are still holding unto the past. If you are someone that have been heartbroken and disappointed one way or the other, because you refused to drop the grudge of past experience and give a chance for a new begining, it will be very difficult for you to make a good decision in finding that true love.
KNOW THIS TODAY
Nothing will ever give you that utmost satisfaction and heart fulfilment when you keep holding on to the past and continuously living in the past. It has not favoured anybody who have followed in that direction of lifestyle.
According to Lailah Gifty Akita, she said that "the present is a great treasure, live in the present". And it's not out of place to join my voice with her to tell you today to stop that mistake you have been making and living on, find a way to push aside all that could make you hold on to your past and fix yourself with those things that will surely give you a new begining and beautiful experience as a person.
It makes more meaning and great sense to always place your happiness and peace of mind first above any other thing life will bring to your door step.
