Is a Capitalist Society at a disadvantage during the ongoing silent War? There are many reasons why I believe that a capitalist society may be at a disadvantage versus a totalitarian society should we enter a world war in the coming years. As we have seen during this pandemic, countries like China with a totalitarian rule managed to control their population much faster than western Capitalist countries due to many factors, none of which are good in my opinion. These factors include many tactics that the western world previously frowned upon or at least it did before the nightmare began, until many of the worlds ruling governments seen the advantage of totalitarian control and decided to take a leaf out of China's playbook. This has been disastrous and has severely added to the devastation caused to the worlds economies, interfered with mass food production, brought about huge energy price rises and directly contributed to the overall deaths during this period as governments tried desperately to cling to power at all costs.
