A Court in St Petersburg, Russia has recognised that a cryptocurrency payment made by a victim in an extortion case as a means of payment. The local prosecutors office later reported that the judges ruling in the case sets a precident. It is good that the court system in Russia has recognised crypto as a means of payment, even if it was in an extortiin case, which could open the door to other arguements through the courts.
