What are your fondest memories of nostalgia from the carnival? Your favourite rides? I used to love this time of year as a child, during the hot summer evenings an international carnival would visit a local waste ground and for a short number of fleeting weeks the area would be bustling with excitement, with an influx of community spirits, triving trade and tasty international fast food served from old school food trucks. Sadly nowadays it seems even carnivals have been overtaken by multinational corporations, but you can still find the occasional traditional carnival managed and operated by generations of the same family. These I find still provide that nostalgic other worldly vibe.
