Just heard a rumour that I haven't been able to substantiate, that Meta formerly known as Facebook has just pulled a rug pull on their Diem currency investors, something about the technology not being as centralized as they would have liked, apparently they want to continue with their data harvesting business. Anyone hear anything on this? #cryptocurrency

Yeah I don't think anyone ever believed it would be a success, too many data breachs to forgive, I know most serious crypto enthusiasts wouldn't even consider it Lmao
Just because something uses blockchain to function it doesn't make it any better. And they played that card and .... lost.
Thats true, but I love to see them failing, FB was a terrible platform, once they started harvesting data and bombarding your profile with ads, they killed the experience Lol
Indeed. As long as you had a 'wall' it was cool, then the apps started, then the ads, then it all went to hell.
Luckily we now have the option to monitize our own content, through crypto social
