White Dress (Graduation)

Happy Tuesday my lovelies, today is my niece's graduation but due to the implemented regulations they weren't able to march on stage. What they can do is just take a picture while receiving the certificate. It's better if they actually experience the feeling when going up on the stage to receive an award. But since we have to follow the rules, we can't do anything about it. Besides, I also enjoyed taking pictures (I guess that's my role earlier lol). We also choose different spots, from outside the Barangay Hall to inside and even to the venue of the pictorial for graduation. It didn't take long, as there's no other ganap up there. There is also one of the parents who gives some snacks to the kids and even to the parents. After that, we decided to go home and rest.

I still remember when I was in kindergarten, where my mother was busy doing my hair and make up. She wakes up early since we are tres marias, and what's worse is we have long and thick hair. But still she manages it though there are times that she gets mad. Having these kinds of events can be considered exhausting.

Hair

Having long or even curly hair made it difficult for the mother to do such a thing. Some choose to just simply make a ponytail, but in our case we would love to tie everything then put some flowerite to look cute on it and we are used to having it especially during graduation. Put an oil and pin to make it perfect, not messy.

Make up

For the kids,make up is just a choice especially when the kids want it. I mean we all know that makeup isn't good for their skin but since it happens rarely so grab the opportunity, right? For my niece I choose to put a light eyeshadow and blush on her (note I really don't know how to do it). I also add some glitters in her eyeshadow and even in the cheeks to look cute. Adding the matte dark chestnut lipstick. Even though I'm not good at doing it , it actually suits her well.

Dress

It is common that during graduation, white dress should be. Since we went to the city last time, my sister already brought white dress and sandals for her. Well, what's worse is that when we find such a dress and are exhausted roaming around and end up too far away just to have what we want.

Sandal

White dress is perfect paired with white sandals as well. There were sales when we bought it so we were lucky. We actually like the other designs but there's no smaller size of it, knowing that my niece is just 26-27 shoe sizes. So we just choose the design that's available and would suit her that time.

Food

Of course, this wouldn't be absent after the graduation, food is a must ahahah. We usually prepared simple food such as lechon manok, lumpia, spaghetti, lucky we have any additional for it. Before, my mother did everything alone, from cooking to shopping.

Being a parent isn't easy and will never be. Hopefully, teens and kids nowadays understand the difficulties of parents and will help them in any way they can. To all parents out there, thank you for molding and helping us grow. To the teenager, please love your parents before it's too late, shower them with the things they need. Spoil them if you can and always be thankful and show gratitude to them. You matter to them and they should too.
