improve the quality of education; Conclusion.) Introduction: Education is the backbone of the nation. No nation can prosper without education. Individuals and nations enlightened in the light of education are always at the forefront of progress and advancement. Such an educated class is always in the seat of leadership. But education will be able to produce such qualified citizens only when it is of appropriate standard. Only quality modern up-to-date education can produce qualified and skilled manpower. And that is why improving the quality of education is an important issue. Improving the quality of education: Quality or quality generally refers to the desired condition of a person, object, product, event, result, etc. Quality education refers to the standard of education that is expected from that education.

This quality of education is explained from two perspectives (a) quantitative value of education and (b) quality of education. (A) Quantitative quality of education: Education is a basic need of all. According to international treaties, conventions and the constitution of Bangladesh, everyone is entitled to education. It is the responsibility of the government to provide education to every citizen. In this way, the number of students reached, the number of students enrolled in the school, the pass rate, the ratio of male to female students, the number of teachers, the number of schools, the number of students per school, etc. are quantitative aspects of education. The quantitative aspect of education is seen only in numbers and not in its values or qualities.

For example, the A + and pass rate in public examinations in Bangladesh is increasing every year. It indicates improvement in the quantitative aspect of education. (B) Quality of education: In the case of quality of education, it is seen how much the students are benefiting by receiving education. A + and pass rate increased but how much quality education they were able to achieve, so the key here. Here is how much students have been able to achieve at the end of the level. Appropriate teachers, proper management, teacher training, proper evaluation of students etc. are important in developing such standards.

Importance of improving the quality of education: In modern times, education means quality education. Because, education which does not maintain proper standards, in the final analysis, that education cannot bring welfare to the country or the individual. Both quantitative and qualitative improvement of education are important for the following reasons- Eradication of illiteracy: The country cannot be improved by keeping a large number of people illiterate. Quantitative quality of education needs to be improved to eradicate illiteracy. Because illiteracy is the root cause of all ignorance, superstition and underdevelopment.

Ensuring education for all: It is the responsibility of the government to ensure universal compulsory primary education. Again, it is the duty of the citizens to receive this education on their own. This requires the quantitative development of education. Creating skilled human resources: There is no substitute for proper education to turn the huge population of Bangladesh into human resources. This requires proper quality education. Development of both quantitative and qualitative standards of education is essential in this regard. Meeting the needs of the age: In this age of extreme development of information technology, global competition has to be tackled. Gaining skills is essential to survive in such competition. And quality education can ensure these skills. So its importance is not less. Current state of education in Bangladesh: Bangladesh is one of the most densely populate

Although the number of students passing primary education, junior school, secondary and higher secondary examinations and getting A + has increased every year, the standard is not increasing. -Overall, education is not able to meet the needs of the time. - Bangladesh's achievements in the development of women's education are commendable. -Free book distribution and student stipends have been arranged to increase and retain the number of students. Obstacles to improving the quality of education: Improving the quality of education is a complex and time consuming task. The planned way to ensure this is to work over a long period of time.

Various obstacles can slow down its pace. Notable among these are- Resource constraints: A lot of money is needed to improve the quality of education. Limited resources are a major obstacle. Underdeveloped infrastructure: Infrastructural problems hinder both quantitative and qualitative development of education. Lack of proper planning: The development of education requires proper and uninterrupted planning. There is a significant lack of it in Bangladesh. Lack of suitable teachers: It is not possible to improve the quality of education without suitable skilled teachers. But the lack of skilled teachers in our country is evident.

Political instability: Unstable political environment severely hampers the development of quality of education. Strikes, blockades, vandalism push schools and students into uncertainty. Corruption: The education sector is one of the most corrupt sectors. Corruption is a major obstacle to the development of this sector. Things to do to improve the quality of education: Improving the quality of education is very important for the betterment of the country and the nation. Here are some key steps you can take to improve the quality of education: -Increase allocation in education sector. - Need to arrange a suitable teacher. For this, teachers have to arrange adequate salary allowance. -Teachers need to arrange adequate training. -Adequate infrastructural development needs to be done. -Adequate arrangements should be made for scholarship. Poor students have to arrange lunch. Other scholarship benefits should be given on merit basis. -Practical plan must be taken for the development of education. -Effective steps must be taken to stop corruption in the education sector. -Measures must be taken so that political instability does not ruin the learning environment. Terrorism and partisanship in the name of student politics must be stopped. -More effective steps should be taken for the development of women's education. -The school should be made pleasant for the students. Conclusion: Canada, the second largest country in the world in terms of size, has a total population of 30 million. On the other hand, the number of eligible students in primary education in Bangladesh is more than 2.5 crore. In other words, almost the same number of students in the total population of Canada go to primary school in Bangladesh. Ensuring quality education for a large number of these students is not a common task. The success that Bangladesh has achieved in this regard with limited resources and capabilities is no less.

Although the success of Bangladesh in the development of education is not enough, it is promising. The quality of education needs to be further improved for overall development and welfare.
