A bank different from my bank

Do you read the title? Are you confused? Okay, keep reading and you will understand.

I have opened a bank account since 2012 and I must say I never enjoyed my money or gotten any interest on it. Many times, I would feel like going to throw silly words at them in the bank but do I have a choice? I chose to save my money with them while they use it for other purposes but at the end, I still get deducted from every charges. Wtf is ATM maintenance fee, bank charges, transaction fee, every fee and what then is left in my money?

Many times, leaving my money in my account till the next day, I would have been charged so heavily and I remember going to complain to them and all they could say is "Give us 24hours, it will be reversed". That was how my $5 went just like that.

After many years of being trapped in their net😅, my elder sister found a way out and told us about an easiest and free to use app. It works just like a bank app and that was the end of my complaint because I don't put money into my account except for this new found app.

It is called GOMONEY. Gomoney is a digital bank that helps you track your spendings, with no hidden costs and it helps to simplify your money.

I have been using Gomoney since last year and it's really great and easy to use.

What does Gomoney do?

• It helps you pay bills

• You can transfer to other Banks with just #8.50

• You can transfer to other Gomoney users for free

• You can buy airtime

• You can make a payment request from another Gomoney user.

As you can see the image. This is when you log into your account, you can see above; (Fund, Send, Bills) and below (Home, Reports, Payments, Services, Help)

Looking at this, when you swipe the "pull for cards" to the left, it brings you to the virtual card. This is used to order for goods online, make transactions etc. It's also like your ATM.

That's my own virtual card and to request for yours, you will tap the "Reveal details" to get your own digits and expiry date on it. That's all.

When you swipe to the left again, it brings you to the physical card. As you can see, I have ordered for my physical ATM card and the estimated delivery has elapsed. I don't know why they haven't yet delivered. Though, I am still waiting.

When you click the report button, it takes you here. This is to see what you have spent after the end of the month. The amount that was there and how much came in throughout the month and how you spent your money for the month. If the money you earn is more than what you spend, you will be given a clap 👏emoji as an encouragement for you.

Under the payments button, there are;

The send money is when you want to send to other Banks or to another Gomoney users.

The Request money only works for Gomoney users. You make a request of any amount, state your reason for requesting and send it. The person will be notified and immediately will grant your request or not. If he or she doesn't grant your request, he or she declines it immediately.

Clicking on the services button, it brings you here. You recharge your line, pay bills i.e Gotv subscription, Nepa bill and so on.

And the last button which is "Help" is when you need to make a complaint or chat with the team. You will then be notified through email once they reply.

Gomoney has different tiers and the last is tier 3. If you are on tier one, your account has a limit of #50,000 ($100) while to get to tier 2 and 3 requires your verification with BVN (Bank Verification Number) and your NIN or any Identification Card.

Just as mine, I am in tier 3 and my here is my daily limit and what I can have in my account.

Upon registration, you automatically have a bank account number. You can find yours by clicking the send button and it will reveal it just as mine here.

Anybody can send money to my Gomoney account using their bank app.

Gomoney is very easy to use and with it, there is no charges except the #8.50 they deduct when transferring money to a non- user of Gomoney.
