How I made a delicious lunch with just 2,000 naira My husband come back from work yesterday and told me to cook soup for lunch. He brought out 2,000 naira. I almost cried when I saw the money. I had no choice than to collect it. I wonder what he expected me to cook with that peanut. So I went to odura - oto market, i started wondering what I will buy with that kind of small money as I was so and okra seller just passed by l, so I decided to buy it because I had no other options. There's are the things are bought for 2,000 naira Okra. - 200 naira Garri. - 500 Vegetables - 200 Maggi. - 100 Oil -200 Pepper -200 Kpomo -300 Onion - 100 Cray fish. -200 I was left with zero naira when I get home NEPA has took light as usual. I went straight to the kitchen, my daughter helped me in prepping the things. When she was done I set a pot of water on the firewood because our gas has finished. When the water was hot I brought it down and made the garri. Then I set back the empty pot on fire, I put the chopped vegetable leaf, onions and pepper and I allowed it to steam for about 2 minutes. After then I added our kpomo (cow skin) and okra and a little water,I allowed it to steamer for 1 minutes so that the vegetable will still be fresh. After that I added our crayfish, Maggi and salt and covered the pot and allowed it to boil for about 3 mins than I bought it off the heat. The aroma of this meal was everywhere in the house. I served my husband and children. My kids could not believe their eyes that I can make such a delicious and tasty meal for 2,000 naira only. Even my husband could not believe it, he too was surprised how 2,000 naira meal will tasted so yummy.
