Let's face it. Why are some in Hollywood and on the music scene so "odd?" In other words, why are they so interested in pushing their sexual orientations or how they identify or other antics and things? Publicity. That is all it really comes down to. It puts them front and center in the news and of course they have no obligation to maintain what they say. They can change any time, or do or be whatever they want behind closed doors. But it sells tickets. It sells records. It puts their name and their image front and center. People want to look them up. I bring this up as Janelle Monáe announced that she is non-binary. All I can say to "they" or whatever "them" want to be called is... I don't care. The thing is that all of you, whatever you are, are role models to impressionable kids. And antics like this, while they may bolster your careers in the short term, can have a long lasting, damaging impact on young minds who want to emulate their idols. That I do care about.

Such true words, as you say the do and say whatever will increase their fame and help them sell more tickets. Away from the press they can act in a different way as long as they say what in fashion in the press. As you have said the saddest part is how this influences the young for who these so called stars are role models, it’s these impressionable young people who pay the prices for what these people do to increase their fame.
