I thought that while I was on my business trip I would receive some update regarding Dylan, a kid we interviewed a few days ago that showed some promise and that the boss said he would consider making an offer to to hire for the warehouse position at work. I heard nothing. Tomorrow I will go into work as scheduled, and work most of the day. I will carry out my duties as I would normally on any other day. I will listen for cues and clues. I will not pry into the question, but will assess what information is provided to me throughout the day. Later in the afternoon, depending on what I hear or what I ascertain, I will tender my resignation after a short conversation, which will be effective immediately, and walk out. I made my decision as to how to proceed during my trip, and that decision is finalized. I am fully prepared to deliver that decision as it has been one that I have fully prepared myself to make. I have to admit that so far in my work career this has been one of the toughest decisions I have ever had to make, and will discuss that in a later post on read. But tomorrow is make or break time. Once I make a decision, it is made. And I have no issue whatsoever with executing it. If it is any consolation, throughout this period I made it very clear to the boss what my expectations are and were, and exactly what needed to happen.
