It is often a funny thing to me that most people would not work without a paycheck. Most people would agree, no money no work. Yet, at the same time, these same people expect things to be provided to them for free. Exactly.
It's way overpriced, they know it, so they ('till now) allowed pw sharing to an extent. People used the service and all was functioning in a way. I beleve corporate greed is cracking down on that now and to be honest: if they managed to 'survive' on so many 'pirated' accounts, they should lower the price as a result. Will that happen?
I disagree it is overpriced. It's $15 a month. I pay $147 per month for cable and have less control over what I can watch.
That only means cable is just .... well, yeah. I don't even own a TV. I don't want to. 😁❤️🤣🖖
If it weren't for my wife I probably would not have cable at all. I personally watch very little TV.

Every time i turn it on it was commercials, trailers, intros, ... Crap, I did not watch it when I had it. So, yeah.
Even when I am watching TV it is hardly ever live. Most of it is recorded and then watched on the DVR. That way I can just fast forward through the commercials.
I use a certain online system to do the same ...
Our DVR comes as part of our cable package we pay for.

Your spot on with this, people always want something for free or cheap, often cheating the system just like what’s been happening with the Netflix log ins, but if you ask them to do something for free they will always say no. People expect to much and don’t give back, however if they learned to give back they would find that the universe would reward them for their kindness.
