Do you ever notice that some people only hear what they want to hear? And amazingly after they believe they heard it, they also then believe it to be their truth. And then they tell you what you said that you did not say at all. And when you deny it and tell them that's not what was said, they suggest you are rewriting history. Huh?

Yeah, confirmation bias. Everybody tends to notice things that are in line with the things they already know. Whether its good or bad. And they tend to reject every opposing idea. It takes training to be somewhat different, and its not perfect then either.
