I can't say I have any issue with the proposal in the U.S. to deal with driver shortages by changing the age of OTR semi drivers to allowing 18-year olds to get behind the wheel. With proper training I think this can be accomplished. If we can send our 18-year olds into deadly battle, we can put them behind the wheel of the largest vehicles sharing the road.

Yep thats true, it makes perfect sense, if there is a short of drivers and perfectly good driver are available at 18, let them saddle up an make a living. Two bird, one stone.
Kind of my thinking as well.
It's simple logic, but some people just don't get that Lol
