One way to evaluate a retail company or fast food chain is to look at their parking lots. How full are they? And what kinds of cars are parked there? It speaks volumes about how many people shop there and how much money they can potentially spend. It is not the only factor, of course. But it can be a good immediate indicator to start digging deeper into the company to see if it may present a good investment opportunity.
