Busting Down the Barriers of Writing Writing is obviously, rather simply put, putting words onto a page. Well, these days it tends to happen that we are putting words onto a *screen*, but you get my gist. The art is in just *keeping on doing it*. Ultimately, it doesn't always matter *what* you write. It matters that you *simply* write. It's not even always about having an idea, necessarily. Although starting with one certainly helps. There is an old adage about a great…

Off to Paducah We Are A lot of the time when I come in here, I am more prone to try to write something interesting or profound or share some piece of information that I find compelling in some way or another. It's hard to make a lot of money in life and become rich. It's hard to become a super-star athlete or become a rock star who fills stadiums for a concert. It's hard to become a celebrity…

When Icons Fall Down There are certain celebrities that just *charm* us from time to time, and for a variety of reasons. Each one that does simply has a certain quality or *thing* about them that gets your attention and clicks. Not that I am ever one to be giddy over any star. To me, they are regular people just like you and I that simply happen to have a spot in the limelight. If I meet one in person, I don't find myself particularly enamored other than feeling a bit…
