TONIGHT MARS-MOON OCCULTATION If the weather permits in your area, there will be Moon-Mars Occultation tonight. This will be visible in most of the Southeast Asian countries (including the Philippines) and some parts of South Asia! WHAT IS IT? The Moon will be passing in front of Mars, covering the planet from our sight called an occultation. WHEN TO LOOK? The disappearance will begin at 9:49 PM until 10:06 PM when Mars reappears from behind the Moon. It will be visible from around 6:24 PM until 10:27 PM when the two sets. WHERE TO LOOK? The occultation will be difficult to observe since the moon pair will only be about 7.5 degrees above the horizon at 9:49 PM and about 4 degrees at 10:06 PM.
