The Neowise comet flying over Los Angeles. Neowise is a retrograde comet that was recently discovered on March 27, 2020 and is one of the brightest comets that Earth has seen in decades. The comet is so bright that you can see it with your naked eye and easily make out its long tail of dust and gas particles. It has an orbital period of roughly 6,800 years!
