Part 1: Learn the Basics of Filipino Language

I cannot give you the best article because I am person with no talents at all. I cannot dance, do art nor sing. But there is one thing I am very proud of - it is becoming a Filipino. Today, I am gonna teach you the basics of Filipino language with English translations. The Basics Learning the basics of Filipino language after all isn't very hard but what I will be teaching you today will likely help you survive by the time already that you visit Philippines. **Greetings** **Good morning everyone!** Magandang umaga sa inyong lahat! How you pronounce it is like this, Ma-gone-dang Uu-ma-ga sa in-young la-hat Or if you just want to say "Good morning" you can just say "Magandang umaga" **Good afternoon everyone!** Magandang hapong sa inyong lahat! How you pronounce it is like this, Ma-gone-dang ha-pon sa in-young la-hat Or if you just want to say "Good afternoon" you can just say "Magandang hapon" **Good evening everyone!** Magandang gabi sa inyong lahat! How you pronounce it is like this, Ma-gone-dang ga-bi sa in-young la-hat Why is greeting important? Well, most of us here always greet one another. **Introducing yourself** Let's say, **"Hi, Ia m Nick Houston and I live in USA."** In Filipino, **"Hi, Ako si Nick Houston at nakatira ako sa USA"** Pronunciation: "Hi, Aah-co c Nick Houston at nah-ca-tea-ra ahh-co sa USA" **And lastly saying "Goodbye"** Well, we are done with how to greet someone when you encounter a Filipino and then you get to introduce yourself. The last thing is that saying **"Goodbye"** In Filipino, we say it "**Paalam**" Pronunciation: Pa-ahh-lam That's the end of this tutorial Like I said, what I am just about to teach will make you survive when you visit Philippines. It's very simple, you just greet, introduce yourself and then say goodbye. Hehehehehhehee LOL Just trust me, it is for your own good. Ending the conversation after greeting and introducing yourself is the best way to save yourself from worries. We, the Filipinos tend to be talkative especially when we meet foreigners personally.
