Our gasps in history Humans, we've come a long way haven't we? Traveled through time up until this moment. But through all that, one wonders, just like I did, at what points in our long stay on earth, well at least our civilized stay on earth could things have panned out differently. Say a missed bullet, a better sword thrust, a whisper into the wrong ear, even a breakfast eaten a tad late. Well, we know there are countless variables if which they had just been nuged a tiny bit, we would have either small or tremendous outcomes. But what about the big ones, those events that take up space in our history books, the ones that have retrospectively either glorified men of old or brought them low. Events that bring us to tears, or fill us with wrath, wishing you were there to do something. There are many of such events in our history on earth. And I plan on taking us through such happenings. We might laugh, cry, become angry, perhaps even become look forward to the future evermore. For what is the ultimate purpose of walking down through history lane? But alas I will not be attemting such today. No. I'm writing this so we would look forward to our past. We might not walk linearly, we might branch off opening doors that hold wonders. But we will go on that walk, that much is assured. And gasp yes, gasp at our history.
