What comes into your mind when you hear somebody is saying, that "I live a minimalist lifestyle"? There are many people with many different concepts. Some may think it is living on an exotic island and you only own a surfboard and a small boat, others may think having a simplified interior in your house. If we talk about fashion, having one set of clothes and one pair of shoes. It is not. Living a minimalist lifestyle is way more, than that.

It is voluntary simplicity when you chose to live a simple life, having simple things not only material ones, but everything else in your life. In a World where everywhere and everybody is trying to tell you to consume, to buy more, however in spite of the fact, that you could afford to purchase and hoard up many things, you consciously and voluntarily choose to aspire for simplicity.

It is very sad to see that, when people are buying more things and the food and drink consumption has increased, that demands a huge amount of energy source from the nature and we are not only damaging ourselves, but our World too. While we are chasing a lifestyle, in which we are unhappy we are damaging all those things in which we basically would find our happiness. In the minimalist lifestyle a great feeling of freedom can be won by simply not to spend your money and use your energy on things that are insignificant, but instead you do those things, that give you happiness and pleasure in a long term.

Genuine value

The first important impact of the minimalist lifestyle, would be that you use your energy, your time and spend your money to gain experiences and have good memories. Those feelings that you lived over in certain situations will remain with you in your entire life.

Transparency

You will have more green light not only physically, but in transferred sense too. Imagine that you get rid of all those objects, that you never even used and they are only unnecessary junks. Thereby your home will be simplified, you will have more room to move around and you will feel more comfortable. Not to mention, that you will spend less time for cleaning, tidying and washing up. It will not give you the feeling of force to buy more things, that you don't even need.

More free time

You will not spend too much of your time for shopping in a mall, in a shop or even online, which can be sometimes dangerous in my opinion. Thereby you will have more free time which can be used for more pleasant and useful things. Inasmuch as you are not shopping too much you will save more money.

Flexibility

It is also important to mention, that if a new situation comes up in your life you will adopt yourself to those much easier and faster, because not your material objects determine your life and you will be independent from your bric-a-brac.

Inspiration

Other people, like your family and friends can be inspired by you, since the consumer society indeed consumes itself, by the chasing of money and we feel stress, anxiety, remorse, minority and compulsion for conformity on ourselves as a side effect.

Balance

You gain back the full control over your own life in a World in which you are told by the media and the influencers what to wear, how you should look, what to eat, what to drink, where to go, what to buy and what to believe in and you could feel, that you have to buy material objects to be able to adopt yourself to the society. If you can ignore all of these things, then you will be able to live your life as you really are.

Freedom

It will give you a feeling of freedom that is very hard to put it in words. A wholehearted happiness, release and freedom.
