What does time mean to you? Does it mean becoming an amplified, digital version of yourself? Does it mean having all the time in the world, without any interruptions? Or does it mean being stuck in a time warp, that makes you feel trapped, suffocated and lost, afraid of the brevity of your time on Earth? Time in and of itself is neither good nor evil. Yet, in and of itself, time can be our best friend and we can make the most of it when we make the most of ourselves. Or time can be our worst enemy and we can let ourselves be swallowed up in our own anxiety and anxiety about the world.
The world is always changing and we can change it. The future isn't set in stone; we can mold the future to be something worthier, than what we've got going on right now. We can make the future something worth living for. Even if the only thing we have to look forward to is another day in the same old grind.
Time Is Something That Rules
Time is the master of all things. Time is the great equalizer. Time is what allows the strong to thrive and the weak to die. Time is something we have little control over. Sometimes I think the only way to deal with time is to not even deal with it. Instead, ignore it. Ignore the ticking of the clock, the passing of the clock, the slowing of the clock. Ignore its inexorable, ever-approaching tick-tock-tick-tock. Ignore time.
Instead, live in the moment. Live for today. Enjoy what you can while you can. That's what I'm trying to figure out how to do, but I don't know if I got the hang of it yet. Maybe that's why time hurts so much. Maybe time is so relentless, so cruel, that it makes even the rational feel helpless. You try to ignore it, but you can't. You can't because one time you catch yourself staring off into nothingness and you realize what you've done. But it's too late. Time has already caught up to you.
So many moments in time have already passed that can't be turned back. Once a moment has passed, it's gone forever. There is no going back. The past is gone forever. You can only live in the present moment, which is fleeting and temporal. And that's what makes time so tragic. Everything is in the past. Why we win some and lose some? Life is tough, but then again, so are we.
I'm trying to deal with this. I really am. But you know what I haven't been able to do? Forget. The past can't be forgotten, because it won't let you. It haunts you, following you like an ever-present voice, that whispers whatever you do in your ear. So what is it that I'm supposed to do? Just let the past haunt me forever? Is that what I'm supposed to do? I can't. I just can't. All I can do though is to close it and ignore it.
Time Is A Resource
Time is a resource. It's really the only resource in most cases. There is no more land, no more money, no more people, no more power. There is only time. You can't make more of it, and you can't waste it. If you're not using your time wisely, then you're going to end up like the wasting stones in your field. It may have been a nice idea to make your home in the past, but in the end you'll come up short. You'll end up like the traveler in your story. You'll just end up with nothing.
Time As Our Best Friend
Time is kind to us. It allows us to learn from our mistakes. Even when we die, time keeps on ticking. But there is a but, in order for something or someone to grow, they need time. Time is invisible, but it isn't without consequences. Without time, something will eventually stagnate and rot. Time preserves the past so that the future can keep on evolving. Without time, we would only be able to remember the past, and not be able to learn from it. We would never be able to go beyond it, and we would eventually cease to exist.
Time As Our Greatest Enemy
Time is also our greatest enemy. Time is what causes everything around us to decay and rust. It is also the cause of our inevitable fate. It is the only thing, that will ultimately end everything. Time has given us the gift of knowledge and taught us how to harness the power of the atom. It gave us machines, that could travel across the solar system and it gave us the ability to create things, such as the internet and the computer. Time gave us everything, and in exchange it took everything from us.
It is the only enemy, that we cannot see, but it is the greatest enemy we have. It is the only enemy, that we cannot fight, but it is the enemy we must fight against. It is the enemy, that is within us and without us. The clock is ticking and it doesn't care where we are, who we are, where we come from or what we are doing. It works against us. Time waits for no man.
Time Is The Master
It has the ability to destroy and create. That's why it is the master. Time is the only constant. You can build a shelter to protect you from the elements, but it can't protect you from time. Eventually the shelter will fall apart, and the elements will rain down again. You can stockpile food to feed you through the harsh winter, but without a sustainable food source, it won't matter how well you prepared. Time will still take it's toll.
You can write down the rules of time, but they will eventually be forgotten just like how the rules of gravity were forgotten. Time has it's own way of doing things. So how do you deal with time? How do you bend time to your will? You don't. You accept time for what it is. Then you make the most of your time. You make the most of your time by trying your best to understand it. And only by understanding it, can you get the upper hand over it.
Time is our great treasure, and its our friend if we will spend it in positive way, but it also taught us several lessons.
