When I was seven, I was convinced I was going to be a chef. I loved being in the kitchen, watching food come together, experimenting with recipes, and making meals for family and friends. Although life took me in a different direction, that passion for creating and helping others never really disappeared. Instead of working in a restaurant, I found myself in further education, where I now teach and support learners as they develop their own skills and confidence. Looking back, the two careers have more in common than I realised as a child—both involve patience, creativity, continuous learning, and the satisfaction of helping people grow. So while I didn't become a chef, I still get to make a positive difference every day, just in a different way.

Though you're not cooking in the kitchen, you're still cooking in the classroom 🤗
