Our Environment Plays A Big Role On Our Health

The quality of our environment can have a big effect on our health. It is important to understand our lifestyle too and we have to work hard finding a way to live healthier. We all have a responsibility to teach our children the importance of the environment and being healthy.

I am a great believer, that we should all play our part in making the world a better place and helping to save the planet. We all have our part and the way you can help is by taking care of yourself and the environment.

It is important to remember, that you can also affect the environment on a small scale. The easiest way is to not waste anything. This is especially true for food. If you are able to, grow your own, or buy from a local farm. Buying in bulk is also better, because it cuts down on packaging and the waste, that comes along with it.

Try to have healthy food available at all times. This can be as simple as having some fruit and vegetables ready to eat when you need them. It can also mean making sure there is water nearby at all times. Take public transportation whenever possible. This can help you to reduce your carbon footprint, especially if you live in a city.

The Problem With Our Environment

We all have a role to play in maintaining our environment, and it doesn't matter if we live in a city or the country. We are on a fragile planet that is dying. This is due to the amount of pollution and other issues. We need to work on fixing these problems before we can save the environment.

Before we can fix the problem though, we need to know what the problem is. So what is the problem? The problem is us. We are the issue. The over-consumption and all the other problems can only be solved by us. So what exactly are we destroying our planet for?

We are destroying it to make more room for ourselves. We need more space to live, so we are clearing land and destroying our environment. How can we ask for a better world when we don't even live in one ourselves? We need to take a look at our own lives first before we can start thinking about changing the world.

It is not just developed countries, that are destroying our planet. Please don't think that because you are from a small town. It can be equally as bad or maybe even worse, because there isn't as much pressure to get money. In my opinion, everyone should live in a greener more sustainable environment.

Environment Affects Our Health

The environment is important for our health. The biggest issues that effect our health are air pollution, water pollution, and some kinds of noise pollution. Everyday, we are exposed to different kinds of air pollution. This comes from things like motor vehicles, factories, landfills, and forest fires. Air pollution can cause a lot of problems. It can increase the chance for certain diseases and conditions to happen, like cancers and respiratory issues.

We also are all breathing in all this industrial waste and dust every day. This affects our health, even more than air pollution. It can lead to many different issues, like lung diseases and breathing problems. Air pollution is bad for our health, but so is industrial waste. We all need water to survive. Without water, we can't live. This is even true for the environment.

Water pollution can be a problem when drinking contaminated water or using it for swimming. It can affect the environment in a large way, like making the land uninhabitable or causing major damage to the natural resources that already exist. When this happens, it can affect people's health as well.

Ways Environment Impacts Our Health

I've already talked about a few ways the environment can impact our health. There are also ways it can impact our food. The most important way the environment can impact our food is through farming. The types of crops, that are planted and where they are grown can all have an effect on nutrition.

It also can have an effect on what nutrients are actually in the foods. There are also many other factors that can affect our food. Things like droughts, floods, and pest attacks can all cause serious issues for farmers and the agriculture industry. When this occurs it can lead to a shortage of food. This shortage of food can increase the amount of prices that we have to pay.

  • Air Pollution: Air pollution can impact our health in many ways. The main types of air pollution are particle pollution and ozone pollution. Particle pollution can come from vehicles, power plants, and some types of manufacturing. Particle pollution can make it harder for us to breathe and can increase our chances of getting respiratory issues. Particle pollution has been proven to lead to premature death especially in those, who are already at a high risk. It is also very toxic and can cause serious illness if inhaled. It can create "smoke stacks" that spread particle pollution out over a large area. Ozone pollution is created when the chemical reaction of other types of air pollution, like particle pollution, take place in the presence of sunlight. One of the results of this chemical reaction is the creation of ozone. Because of its dangerous nature, ozone is considered a "hazardous material." Most ozone pollution comes from cars on the road and chemical plants. It can form ozone smog, that are very visible and are unpleasant to breathe.

  • Radiation: You might also be curious about radiation. There are many different types of it and we're going to look at ionizing radiation, since this is the most common type of radiation. This type of radiation carries enough energy to remove an electron from a single atom or molecule in its path. This is called ionization and it happens quite easily with this type of radiation. In fact, this is how you get a simple glow from your cellphone, or the constant static from a walkie-talkie. This is also the main way, that gamma radiation is created in excess. Cancer is a very real danger from time to time from exposure to ionizing radiation, but it is rarely due to excessive amounts of it. More commonly it is due to the mutation of cells due to radioactivity, which then grow at an accelerated rate. This is called "cellular damage." It can lead to tumors. While ionizing radiation is not as deadly as certain other types of radiation, it can still lead to serious health issues over time. It is most commonly due to medical procedures, that use radiation to treat various types of cancer.

The Dangers Of A Busy Life

In addition to the risk factors, that we are exposed to every day, there are many more, that we are at risk for when we live a busy life. We are at risk for many different types of traffic fatalities. We also have high rates of non-traffic mortality. We are at risk for many types of work-related fatalities. While these may include falls, explosions, and occupational cancers, we also have a high number of homicide.

Many of us are at risk for cancer due to our lifestyle and environment. Lack of exercise and smoke from cigarettes and other sources can cause or contribute to cancer. We have high rates of liver disease, inflammatory bowel disease, and pancreatic disease. Alcoholism and smoking can lead to these conditions.

High blood pressure and other cardiovascular diseases are common in our society. Our sedentary lifestyle and poor diet can lead to these conditions, as can our high stress levels. Many of us living in poverty do not have the access to health care, that others have, or the financial means to seek out medical attention in time. This can cause many health conditions to become life-threatening or fatal.

Living In Poverty

People who live in poverty, many of them are exposed to risk factors on a daily basis. These risk factors can cause their health to worsen over time, or sometimes they can trigger a disease, that they never had before.

One of the major risk factors for their health is lack of access to healthy food. When they do not have access to affordable, nutritious food, their health suffers. They become much more likely to get diseases like type II diabetes, and cardiovascular disease. These diseases can lead to limb amputations, blindness, and death.

The importance of nutrition cannot be overstated. Undernourishment can cause a decrease in height, weight, and adult stature. It can also cause psychosis, impaired immune system, and death. It is believed that one in four people on the planet suffer from chronic undernourishment.

I agree we should be responsible enough upon taking care of the environment.

Yes all of us should do. That would be ideal and would be much better for everybody. Thanks for reading.

We should really start it within ourselves. This motivates me to plant my own vegetable in our backyard and do some recycle. I just hope that I can pull it off.

That is really good if you can do that. There is a lot of benefits to grow your own vegetables. I am sure you can pull it off.

Environment play the vital role in our physical and mental health. Noise pollution for example is a big factor for a human's mental health.

Indeed. We can't be healthy if we are living in an unhealthy environment. Unfortunately, the world is getting polluted day by day due to humans negative acts

The good thing is that we are taking small steps rowards the better, like selective rubbish collection or electric cars.

I think everyone actually wants a clean & healthy life. But on the other hand, they are so selfish because they want to be clean in just their own environment without thinking about the overall impact.

I agree with you. We have to understand how important it is to work together towards a good environment. More is better than one.
