Manchester United's loss against PSG, Who's to be blamed?
Manchester United have had an unbelievable start in the UEFA Champions League having their first surprising win in their match against the French side, Pasris Saint Germain. It was unexpected that United will come home with a win but they did it anyway and defeat the Champions of France 2 goals to 1 at home. The sky was still blue for United as they mercilessly defeat Leipzig. The German side suffered a 5-0 loss in the hands of the Red devils in their first meeting in the UEFA champions league. Manchester United met their first defeat in the hands of Instanbul Basaksehir due to their carelessness when it could have been a match that would seal their 9 points. However, The Turkish side paid a visit to Old Trafford where they saw the real United they didn't experience during their last meeting (due to the Red Devils carelessness) and went home defeated with a scoreline 4-1 in favour of United. At the beginning, Manchester United's place in the next round appeared sealed after they've gathered 9 points in 4 matches with just a single point stamping their way to the next round. But United threw the golden chance away during their second clash with PSG at Old Trafford due to an unprofessional act from Fred, and lack of the needed managerial skill from their manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
It was obvious that the move from Manchester United marker, Fred is an irrelevant one which always attract a red card penalty. But the referee pardoned United by issuing out a yellow card to him instead. Fred is one of United most active midfielder currently and he's known for his marking ability which seems to be the reason why he's sealed for himself a place in United's midfield. However, it's obvious that players with a marking attitude like him after receiving a warning in the earlier half of a match might receive another booking another, talkless of a one who deserves red but was issued yellow. After luckily finishing the first half without no other booking which might lead to a red card, everybody including the non fan of Man U expected that Fred will not resume the pitch the second half since there are better replacements on the bench for him (Van De Beek, Pogba etc) to further avoid what was luckily avoided in the first half of the match. But it was a shock to see that Ole Gunnar risked letting him resume the second half and which later led to the player sent off the pitch after he was booked the second half.
It's to be understood that every player could fall a victim of what happened to Fred in the world of football as Anthony Martial also received a red card for such act against Tottenham and even the current Real Madrid manager receiving a red card after hitting his head into the chest of his opponent during his time as a player. But in Fred's case, such situation could have been avoided if the coach had shown a little bit of professionalism. Who do you think is to be blamed for Fred's red card? It's obvious the player owns a lot of blame for displaying such a disgraceful act and putting his team in danger during an important match but personally, I would blame the coach more for not doing the needful as a coach. Now what's supposed to be an easy task has turned out to be a very heavy task for the Red Devils as they are currently sitting on the table with the same points as PSG and Leipzig.
