Voice of the poor

In the medieval period lived a small family is a village located in a valley where some of the hidden treasures of King Solomon was believed to have been hidden. Thirty families were dwelling in this valley. They all were miners who were digging deep into the earth crust searching for gold and diamond. For over a century, they held the legend that the highest volume of Solomon's gold were hidden here in Bachar. Some amount of gold had been dug up anyway but it is not satisfactorily quantifiable as what was aligned to King Solomon.

The poorest miner in the village was Valentine. He was a peasant but never greedy or envious. His wife Matilda is the pride of the village as she nurtured the children to be highly moral in behaviour compared to some very lax kids around. Val, as he was fondly called by his friends was a very hard-working man. He was a out the poorest man in the valley because he had mined the tiniest pieces of gold.

One evening, Val was reading through the scroll 📜 written by a latter seer when he came across an historic record of a flood that once swept through Babylon, when they attempted to wage an attack against Amalek. It was during the flood that Solomon's chests filled with gold and diamond was swept and dumped in the valley next to Bachar.

Valentine thought of going to the next valley after he had read the scroll, he wouldn't go alone so he summoned all the other twenty-nine family miners. But Gerard instigated a protest against him:

What has the poorest miner in Bachar got to share? They conspired not to attend. And they never did.

On the set day, they journeyed southward to the next valley. The stationed the procedure in the very belly of the valley and started to dig. After seven days of serious mining, they could not find one pinch of gold, so they all went back home to the valley of Bachar. Some of them considered the statement made by those who refused to join the mining party and decided never to listen to Val again, not any poor miner.

It was a bad experience for Val but he kept his faith strong hoping that a breakthrough is close by. That night, he went to his dusty study and picked the scroll again. After reading through, he found a footnote telling the exact measurement from the very belly of the next valley to the point where Solomon's chest is washed to by the flood.

Once again, he called and said this would be the last time but none of the miners gave their consent to go on another trip to scavenge for King Solomon's chests. As expected, no one appeared. On his way out of his hamlet in the morning, his blossom friend, came along and asked that he would love to follow him.

Cox, are you sure you want to do this? Val asked.

Yeah. Come rain, come shine, I am with you on this.

The two jolly friends took a walk away from Bachar. They past the valley they dug up few weeks ago, and continued walking until they arrived a place that looked like virgin land, with thick bushes. Val took a bold step and began to clear off the bush after which they started digging up the earth. Few meters from the surface of the earth, Val hit a wooden but soft object with his digging rod. He thought it was a wrong position and jump to a few metres and started digging up again. He hit a similar object, but won't skip to another place. As he continued digging, he found that the wooden object got broken and he struck some metallic object. Just there, laid the diamonds and gold that had been searched for all these while.

In the meantime, the two jolly friends shared their found treasures and became the richest miner that ever lived in several communities around the east.

Other miners became so jealous of Valentine who was once considered the poorest of the miners in Bachar. There was nothing they could do as the Valentine has already crossed the strata of being referred to as a poor man to the wealthiest miner that ever lived.

Everyone has a voice and should be heard than to be neglected. Even the poorest of the people have a saying.

You are right, a voice is a voice regardless of where it coming from. This is the situation of the world, people think that some set of people shouldn't listen because they ain't rich, been rich doesn't deprive us of senses.

Every human has a voice and should be listened to. A mad man once spoke (calling out lotto numbers) and no one cared to listen except on man who wrote them down, played and won millions.

People tend to listen to the rich because they believe if they know the way they started from scratch and also follow the same path that they might become rich also. And as well believe that the poor have nothing to offer.

Some poor people have enough experience to become rich even than the so-called wealthy, if one listens to their voices, it may be a channel to break away from stagnation.
