Lights Out

I've warned you to stop telling me about your horrifying fantasies.

Elsa sighed tiredly at her friend's story. Kenny always told a story that sends shivers down the sound of whoever listens to her. Elsa was always infuriated as she would just tell stories that would make her not have a sound sleep or come sweating from a nightmare.

I mean it this time, Kenny. I came about it on the Google app. It is real.

Elsa was being ridiculous and this happened at every sleepover they had together. This time she won't stop bothering about a little boy with the face of a wolf who feasted on young children that didn't believe in his existence.

Elsa had further exaggerated the fresh bloodstains at the corner of his mouth, the blood of the block blockheads that didn't believe in his story.

Now, Kenny was growing furious as Elsa kept hammering on the half-human, half-wolf boy and his many attacks on those who didn't want to hear about his might, prowess, and abilities.

His name is little Grumpy. For those who believe in his existence, he'd send a box of jewelry. A trinket for girls and a necklace for the boys.

Kenny got more infuriated and asked Elsa to stop, else she would leave the room to her alone. She knew if Else continues with the story, she won't have the best of sleep that night. Then Kenny said in a rage:

I do not believe in him. Little Grumpy is free to feast on my ears.

Elsa shook her head nonchalantly as she busied with her phone. In a short time, she continued.

So not say that. I also read that he is invisible and he can be everywhere, even here.

Her friend's whisper widened her eyes like a night watchman.

Little Grumpy attacks at the time all eyes have decided to rest, a time when the mind and soul have wandered off to the wonderland, a time where the darkness is supported by a bright-dim light from the white balls on the sky.

Do you mean the moonlight? Kenny asked, then laughed at her friend's exaggeration.

Stop trying to scare me because it won't work.

Kenny didn't like to brag but she knew she was not so vulnerable to fall for a story an idle person might have uploaded on social media to scare likes of her.

While her friend busied herself ensuring all doors and windows were locked and their phones were charged up in case of emergency, Kenny continued reading a novel she had borrowed from the school library, he mins still unchanged about the little friend.

Little Grumpy can do his worse for all I care.

She muttered before she laid her head to sleep.

It wasn't a coincidence when a sheer Kenny heard screeching sounds like the turning of a doorknob. Elsa laid soundly beside her like she wasn't expecting anyone at such time. She quickly brushed off Elsa's words from her head as she spotted the bright white light that illuminated the sky. It was the moonlight.

Elsa! whimpered as the footsteps which seemed coming nearer every moment towards her room. Kenny- little Grumpy is here.

But Kenny was already fast asleep, far away from reality.

As the doorknob rolled from right to left, Kenny jerked up from sleep, holding tight on her pillow. The appearance of the shadow for stronger and bigger.

Her eyes grew round at the most horrible creature she had ever seen. It was about five feet tall and had ears like a hare. Fear gripped her, sweats began to emerge on her forehead despite being in an air-conditioned room.

The stale smell of blood engulfed the whole room as the minister advance towards her, curving its claw-like fingers.

Help me! Help me!! Kenny screamed helplessly, with her other hand, she shook her friend who slept like a log of wood.

Get away from me you stinking animal. I have no business with you.

Kenny kept shouting while Elsa lay there in pretense to be asleep.

You didn't believe my story. Did you?

The monster's voice cracked the walls as it advanced towards Kenny's space in the bed.

Go away

Her scream grew louder.

I believe you exist. Just go, please. I promise to believe every story they say about you.

Now, Elsa opened her eyes, patting Kenny at the back to calm her while laughing. The monster pulled off the scary mask.

It's all a prank.

Julian, Elsa's brother said as he pulls off the mask.

Kenny looked up and recognized that it was Elsa's brother that played the nasty role of making her scream on the top of her voice. Julian and Elsa laughed away, making fun of Kenny. Suddenly, the lights went out.

Who did that?

Elsa asked as she fumbled with the light switch which refused to turn on the bulb.

Not me

Elsa and Julian replied immediately, in unison.

A screeching followed and then horrible laughter shook the whole building.

It's me! The real little Grumpy

The things we imagine or we say sometimes happen in reality that's why we need to be careful on what we say since it might got true even if it's not true specially those horror once since demons have the power to make our imagination into real thing. It's a great story,I enjoyed reading it a lot.
