A New Wave of Glory is the title of the annual convention of The Redeemed Christian Church of God. Is a week-long program, power-packed all through. I am privileged to have joined the Holy Ghost Service which is always held on every first Friday of the month. This particular month August fell within the annual convention. It was a night of powerful prophetic declarations. It has been an engaging weekend for me. Spiritual matters must not be toyed with, especially in this dispensation when the world behaving like a consulting child.
Pastor Adeboye who is the General Overseer of the mission went all the way to reveal some hidden insights in the word of God on how a man can proclaim and manifest glory. I have felt this way a long time after his declaration. The refreshing came from within.
I wasn't surprised that people came out en masse for the program. I see power also in the title, also people felt the same way too. This program could not hold last year because of the world-acclaimed outbreak of the coronavirus.
When it was time for the 2021 annual convention, when the government of our nation has reduced restrictions on social gatherings, the announcement of a new variant of the virus came. It was is called Delta variant. Instead, the man of God saw God in this situation. So, he titled the convention A New Wave of Glory. What an awesome time to make the world know that God reigns in the affairs of men. The tumult crowd could be said to be over two million congregations. This is about the largest religious gathering in the world in a single venue. And we see the glory of God manifest even in this time when the world is convulsion with this dreaded disease called covid-19.
Powerful testimonies of bow God healed breast cancer, twenty-four years of a barren marriage, blind, raised the death were shared. There is however no other place to be than here at the Redemption Camp.
Worshippers from far away from Australia, North America, and Europe are here in their numbers. Within Nigeria, members from different regions and provinces pitched their tents here. I don't want to go home. This place is home, peaceful and the atmosphere is tensed up with worship.
Today being the last day of the annual event, Holy Communion will be served. It is a meal that was commanded by Jesus, our savior, to do in remembrance of Him. To be able to eat this meal, one must be a friend of Jesus. He must be born again, believing that Jesus died and resurrected on the third day.
In the Bible day, the apostles used unleavened bread, bitter herbs, a year-old lamb without defects for the meal.
In this case, the bread represents the body of Jesus. His body was bruised for our transgressions and by His stripes, we are healed. I am healed of God. By eating the bread, the body of master Jesus, my body is free from every ailment by faith.
Whereas the bitter herbs or wine represents the blood of Jesus Christ which was a bed in calvary, where he was crucified for my sale, for the sake of mankind. The blood is a seal of the new covenant.
Each one of use was first led to the Lord before we were served the meal.
This communion is to move me/us into the new wave of glory.Our leader, Pastor E.A Adeboye gave a go-ahead to drink of the cup in the name of God the Father, Son and Holy spirit.
We began to pray after the sup. I tensed prayer to operate in the new wave of glory.Prayer is spiritual weapon for the pulling down of stronghold. If you do not believe, you perhaps may need to understand some spiritual truths about the power of darkness that rules the earth.
We prayed, I prayed too. And I am convinced that I am operating in a new wave of His glory. Hallelujah!!
I watched the service online and during the testimony period i couldn't help but marvel at how Great our God is.
