Been a while I came here. Happy Sunday folks. Today is a special Sunday, set aside for the celebration of God's faithfulness of the family.
The family is the smallest but most important unit of society. When there is relative peace in the family, you should expect nothing less in the entire society.
In recent times, we have experienced different degrees of abuse, rather menace to society, most of which can not be separated from the failure of the family.
As we celebrate the steadfastness of Christian families, where it is believed that children are brought up to fit into society, it is very important to note that family should be treasured first before other secondary human engagement.
Part of the celebration agenda today looked more into the place of the family unit and how good upbringing affects society and vise versa.
Job 8:7 Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase. Bible
God has a good plan for marriage, family, or home. Little wonder when Eve is the forbidden fruit, God still did not separate her from Adam.
Remember that He had blessed them. God commanded that they be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth and subdue it likewise. The home is a design of God. Hence, every home should be built on the truth, and be hospitable with godly virtues in the center of all engagement.
You Family Can Trust God Too
One thing God won't do is to force a man to believe or come to him. I read a part of the Bible that says God stands at the door of our hearts and knocks, if we open, He will come into us. Simply put, only those who open unto Him will He inhabit with. There are many reasons why a man must put trust in God.
Numerical Increase
God wants us to multiply and as such we must trust him for numerical increase.
Psalms 127:3 Lo, children are a heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
I have attended a Singles and Married program designed by my church to teach the teeming youth about how to keep a godly home. There I learned that no woman died barren in the Bible except the wife of King David who despised him because he dances unto God. Her name, Michal. It is the will of God that we become numerically increased. That's an assurance.
Increase in Devotion
A family that lives together, prays together. The joy of being a family is to approach the chambers of the Almighty in devotion. The family bond is also strengthened by this. Let's bring back our family to the time of studying the word of God and instilling good virtues through His word to our children. They will in turn do the same with their children. And as such, society becomes better.
Increase in Intimacy
God loves to fellowship with man. Have you ever wondered why God would always come to Eden every morning to see Adam and Eve? Let's make a place for God in our families.

Increasing In The Fear of God
The fear of God is very scarce in the family. This is one of the most reasons why there is chaos in society.
The fear of Fod is the beginning of wisdom.
Our children need the fear of God in their lives so that before they engage in anything they would consider God first like Joseph did when Portiphar's wife wanted him to lay her.
An ever-increasing family hangs their dealings with God.

The best way to inculcate the fear of God into a child's life is via the examples in the upbringing, which has to the with happenings in the home. If the home is well disciplined and cultured to God's standard, it'll be very hard for the child to diviate to another world. Even he want to try, the lessons deposited inside of him will come out and fight it... judging his conscience. The family is the grassroot
