Last smile⁣. ⁣ This cheerful, happy man is the Yugoslav partisan Chedomir Chupic before the execution, 1942. Born in 1913 in the USA. In 1930, his family returned to their historical homeland in Montenegro. In 1940, Chedomir joined the Communist Party. In 1942, the partisans fought fierce battles with the Italian fascists and Chetniks near Niksic. On Kablena Glavitsa, the traitors surrendered two partisans: Commissar Chedomir Chupich and partisan Joka Baletich. After several days of interrogations, the partisans were sentenced to death by firing squad, and on May 9, 1942, the sentence was carried out. The photo was taken by Major Carlo Ravnich of the Italian Army.
