Hello friends, have you ever wondered why the zebra crossing system looks exactly the way it looks? Wide lanes located along the street? In this, as in many other things, the ancient Romans are to blame. Pedestrians crossed the streets littered with manure and garbage on specially laid large flat stones, selected so that the wheels of chariots (the width of the track of which was also standardized by the Romans) fell exactly between the stones.
