A colleague at work said: "Ms. it's time you have another baby because Sage is nearly 4! The more kids the merrier!"🙂 🤑😒Me: calculating the expenses:🤷♀️ Annual Travel...35000scr School fees= 12935 scr × 3 Junior Insurance Policy...14815 scr annual House Insurances...65000 scr annual Car Insurance...10000 scr annual House Bills... 1200 monthly (water and electricity) Internet Bills...1033 monthly Other miscellaneous....5000 monthly 🤑🤑 Total amount: 🤔🤑🤑🤑 My point? I thank God for being able to experience a life-and-death delivery/LABOUR So yeah thanks but no thanks! Having only A CHILD doesn't make you a less of mom/dad duhhh🤨 🤔😏 such cultural indoctrination of having two kids and more..jeez!!!! Real talk!🤔😏 Having a child incurs expenses because apart from giving them maternal and paternal loving and tender care, practically speaking you need to #FINANCIALLY provide for their basic needs... Apart from food and shelter, medicine is also very basic. What if they got sick? Hospital bills do not accept only emotional maternal care.... Baby essentials are skyrocketing too. Oh added to the fact that... as they are growing...they need to be sent to school.. And...🏤 School fees and policy/insurance costs not only a dime...so as a mom, my point is to put Sage in an environment where he can grow and develop as his foundational years are crucial for learning. Likewise... Travelling ✈🛩🛫gives Sage an opportunity to see the other side of the world and experience both comfort and discomfort in a foreign land. To cut my rant... Stop the Judgement towards having ONLY A CHILD or not HAVING A CHILD at all. Enough of the thought that... At a certain age...you NEED TO GET MARRIED... and then when you are MARRIED....you NEED to have A CHILD.... then when you ONLY HAVE A CHILD... you NEED TO HAVE TWO OR THREE CHILDREN...
