Hope as our Lifeboat When the pandemic hits the world, Many lives were lost, Families were mourning, The whole of humanity was grieving! 2020 was the year that we considered the most challenging, We abide by the rules thus practiced social distancing, We were cautious to whom we were in contact with, thus, wearing a mask was the thing, However as 2021 kicked in, there was another variant of Covid 19! Are we doomed? Will the world end so soon? Are we destined to be like this? Will the new variant of covid be like an oceanic abyss? We can't help but feel so helpless, We can't run away with it, but we can fight against it, Remember, as long as we are still breathing, Life is meant to be lived and be HOPEFUL about things! Rationale: This poem is a reflection that despite the new variant of Covid 19 hits the world again, we must be steadfast with our FAITH and always be positive about things. Our life is fleeting, however if we remain optimistic, we will surely overcome this pandemic.
