I did my research when we stayed at Grand Baie in Mauritius. One of the main points I wanted to stay there was not just because it was a tourist destination but due to the fact that the playground was awesome for children. Here's the thing I have learned while travelling with my baby and my hubby unlike when I travelled solo. The very main consideration was to have the best experience for your toddler because it would be implanted in their brain how they enjoyed their experience. Sage has always been travelling since 8 months old and for him to be able to have exposure what the reality in other countries he visited, he never insisted on buying more toys yet more on how he could play the slides at a nearby shopping mall. Although there was a point he spontaneously asked for a table to eat at as I booked only a room for us to stay unlike when we were in Abu Dhabi whereby he had all the amenities needed not to mention the swimming pool at Radisson Blu in Yas Island became his playground. Glad that in Mauritius, Malls have a very friendly playground and the kids were able to mingle with others while the parents were looking after them in the food court area. It was a good set-up knowing that if you wanted your child to have fun while you can also do a bit of your work (online) then going to the malls on a weekend was a good alternative.
