I remembered when I got the news I was pregnant (our family doctor said I was on my 7 weeks and I felt guilty knowing how careless I had been fixing my classroom carried those heavy tables for my students' exam), my friends, family and relatives were so excited about it however I didn't prepare myself much for the Labour! I thought I was soooooo ready not until my water bag broke. Everything was totally new for me and I almost had emergency ceasarian. Sage and I never had a long skin-to-skin contact ( this was the most important chemical bonding that you and your baby need) in order to feel each other's heartbeat . According to Science this is called the "golden hour" yet my baby and I never had this moment due to our critical condition. I lost a lot of blood and I passed out, Sage on the other hand didn't cry at all hence they had to bring him outside for an emergency while I had to go to the other room as well. I woke up the next day with the nurse who asked me, "would you like to see your baby?" Eventually tried to breastfed however my biggest problem was, I don't know how to pump milk at the same time burped Sage. I was reflecting at how time flew so fast and now my baby didn't even experience how breastfeeding was since he stopped at an early 7 months old. I was surprised that other parents took almost if not two long years to do it.
