Daily wildlife photography: the azorean starling, Sturnus vulgaris granti. It seems identical to the common starling, although it's a subspecies endemic to the Azorean islands. They are very common, and are normally found in large (noisy!) groups; although I found this little guy alone, wandering in a grass field. In some plummages they can be mistaken by the common blackbird, but their tail is a lot shorter, and it has pointy wings; in winter plummage, with all the white spots, the identification is easy.
