Daily wildlife photography: the indian flying fox, Pteropus medius. I had seen a couple of these creatures flying by in previous trips to Asia, but this was the first time I was able to admire them perched and up close. They are one of the world's biggest bats, and they feed on fruits, so don't be alarmed if you see them! :) These photos were taken in the middle of a park in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Some of the trees had dozens of bats! I can imagine the show when they fly at night to feed!
