Daily wildlife photography: the malabar pied hornbill, Anthracocerus coronatus. This was the first time I saw the species, and in this area the trees were full of them! They are one of the two species of hornbills we can find in Sri Lanka, and they're easy to tell apart from the other hornbill. The black colour, the white belly and that huge yellow beak with the black casque are enough for a good identification. Photos taken in Udawalawe National Park, Sri Lanka.
