Daily wildlife photography: the white stork, Ciconia ciconia. Improving the numbers of white storks has been probably one of the most sucessful iniciatives of the kind in Portugal. Years ago the population was declining, but nowadays they're quite common. Although I wasn't expecting to find them here: nesting in a communications tower, in the middle of a city! My favourite kind of surprises! Photos taken in Tavira, Portugal.
