Daily wildlife photography: the black headed gull, Chroicocephalus ridibundus. During winter time, you won't see a "black head" on this gull, since the typical dark hood will only appear from Spring. Nevertheless, they're still easy to recognize, thanks to the typical black spot behind the eye. It's one of the most common seagulls in Portugal; the photos here are from another country, thow. Photos taken in Lake Como, Italy.
