Daily wildlife photography: the tufted duck, Aythya fuligula. The big contrast between the white and black of their plummage makes the males of this species very easy to recognize. And it has a tiny crest. But what's more striking to me in these small ducks is their eyes! I've posted a photo of the couple here so you can see the diference between sexes.
