Daily wildlife photography: the hermit crab. I don't know the exact species of this one, but do know it's a land hermit crab. There are hundreds of different species of this crab, and their name comes from the fact they don't have a proper shell, so they "borrow" one from mother nature; and as they grow and they need bigger shells, they ditch the one they have to get the new one! Found this little one in Costa Rica, on the Atlantic side. My first wild hermit crab!
