Daily wildlife photography: the european rabbit, Oryctolagus cuniculus. This little guy was hopping around in the grass, in the middle of the afternoon. He ran fast as soon as he spotted me, but wasn't fast enought to escape the camera! :) I was able to saw a couple of them in my nature trails in the islands. Photos taken in São Jorge, Açores, Portugal.

These are wild rabbits? I've not seen them wild before. Usually just as pets.
Yes they are! I don't see them that often, but got lucky here. ;)
