Daily wildlife photography: the asian water monitor, Varanus salvator. Can you spot it? Amazing how such large animals can conceal themselves. I was walking in the middle of Kandy, a town in Sri Lanka, when I saw a lot of movement on the branches. And there he was! They are one of the largest monitor species, but that doesn't stop them from being excellent climbers. My usual daily wildlife posts will take a break on the next couple of weeks; long deserved vacations are here; but will be sure to share some of my vacations landscapes with you for sure!
