There are many DeFi projects, but there are very few where you can spend the coins in very many places. There is basically only ETH and BCH. The rest are some proprietary coins that you have to trade in first to be able to spend them. ETH is very expensive, so that leaves only BCH. That's a huge competitive advantage. And anything that has a competitive advantage is more likely to catch on sooner (most of the time) or later.
