Tangled ended up being a waste of time. Token-farming websites struggle to sustain themselves in the long run. They mostly attract people focused on earning a few cents than engaging meaningfully. Furthermore, even for token hunters, the requirement for KYC is a major red flag - I definitely don’t recommend sharing personal details with strangers online. While the concept has potential under a different strategy, the model we have seen so far inevitably leads to low-quality, low-effort posting.

I started Tangled and when I read that I needed to give them my personal details for having back about 2 cents, I laughed hard and stopped it at once! I wish we had again sites like Noise to communicate with people and earn money - we knew back then we won't be reach with them, still it was something, except the fun we had!
The identities can be used to open fake bank accounts in banks and launder money. They can be sold and used by vile people for any purpose and the real people behind them can get into trouble. The random people we trust with this information, we don't even know who they are.
I remember when I gave CoinBase my personal details, how worried I was. I'm afraid for the exact things you write!
